Newsletter 8: There’s more of us to love in 2021!

There’s more of us to love in 2021! We have grown (in every way) - picture of an fat little penguin basking in the sun

Hellooooo there, welcome to a new year of COMPRESS.dsl!

After an excellent break that even the closed beaches and alcohol ban could not spoil, we are back at the helm of our ship, and setting sail into the unchartered waters of 2021.

To our team here at COMPRESS.dsl – Felicity, Lesley, Hellen, Gloria and William – we have now added two new members.

Bronwen Shaw joins us as an intern for the next few months. She is currently studying for a degree in Humanities at Stellenbosch University, and has her eye on a career in publishing or journalism.

And William, our office dog, has acquired his own intern. Indigo Wonky Dog, fresh from Animal Welfare, has joined the team as an intern office dog. Her contribution to the team so far has been slightly less impressive than that of Bronwen, as she tends to sleep all day, only waking up when we rattle the biscuit tin. William is in despair.

What else is new in 2021

We have spent quite some time over the past few weeks researching trends in annual reports and interims, and are very keen to put this knowledge to good use. For many organisations, 31 December and 28 February are year ends, or half-year ends. Do get in touch if you would like to discuss your annual report requirements – and please share this newsletter with any of your contacts who might be bracing themselves to begin the process. We really do enjoy this aspect of our work, and would love to be involved.
