COMPRESS.dsl Newletter 14 Cover: The peace of wild things _Signet nested within moms wings

Hellooooo there

The past two weeks have been hard for South Africa, with looting of schools, shops and warehouses, the destruction of vital infrastructure, and what looks like a deliberate attempt to destabilise the country and render it ungovernable. At the same time, the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit hard, and every organisation we work with is now having to cope with staff self-isolating/off sick/struggling to cope with children at home. It’s not been an easy winter so far.

My solution to this, after reaching out to organisations that need our help (in terms of both financial and moral support), is to escape it all – to take advantage of the amazing natural wonders in our country, and blow the cobwebs and misery from my mind. I have just completed the 13 Peaks Challenge, which involved climbing the 13 highest peaks in the Cape Peninsula, over a series of weekends since Easter. Wendell Berry’s poem explains why I did it far better than I ever could.

Looking forward to the rest of the year

A third way to get through the winter is to plan for the spring. Every year COMPRESSdsl produces a fantastic desk planner/diary, that can be tailored and branded for your own organisation. We can produce as few as 25 diaries, at a surprisingly low cost. It’s a fabulous way to remain front-of-mind with your clients and partners for the entire year. Click on the image below to see the entire publication.

Do be in touch for a quote if you would like a diary for your organisation, and stay safe and warm for the next month.
